3 undrafted free agent players to watch in Bills training camp

The Bills found many gems after the draft that could help the team early on both sides of the ball.

RB Frank Gore Jr

Gore Jr isn’t coming in looking to take snaps away from James Cook or Ty Johnson as much as he’s just trying to make the team. If the Bills decide they want to keep four backs, that spot could be his with a strong summer. He signed with the Bills immediately following the draft, making it clear the Bills valued his game and thought he would be a strong addition to the team.

If he makes the roster, Gore Jr may not see many offensive snaps early on. As the fourth running back on recent Bills teams, they don’t see the field all that often, with Taiwan Jones being the most recent in 2022, logging zero rushes. Before him, Senorise Perry back in 2019 when he logged just three rushing attempts. Gore Jr will have to find a different way onto the field in his rookie year. If he can play special teams at a high level, Gore Jr may take the job of one of the veterans Buffalo let walk in March.

The Bills value his ground-and-pound game as they look to add a different dimension to the offense. He may not see too many rushing attempts early on, but when he does, he’ll be a good compliment to James Cook down the road.
