Sean McDermott had to call the Buffalo BIlls' defense this year with Leslie Fraizer taking a year off. Now McDermott had to work two jobs as head coach and defensive coordinator (DC). 

The defense had to go through an extremely tough year, where many game-changing players got serious, long-term injuries. Although, even with the injuries the defense had, they still put up a good fight and finished the regular season top 10 in total defense. 

However, this offseason, lots of defensive players are potentially heading into free agency, and with the Bills team being $40 million over the cap, some of these great players will have to be let go. The team needs to look back on this season and take away some of the notable things that the defense did well and some other things the defense struggled with.
