2.) Brandon Shell - Offensive Tackle

Much like Edwards, Brandon Shell was signed by the Bills during the offseason on a one-year deal in which he came from the Miami Dolphins. As a right tackle, the potential idea was to bring Shell in as competition for Bills’ young right tackle Spencer Brown who has struggled with pass protection and injuries the last two seasons.

While Shell has not been an all-star in this league, he has at least shown that he can provide consistency, but injuries have held him back as well. Last season, he finished ahead of Brown in production.

However, the Bills believe in development and Brown is part of that development stage going into his third year of his rookie contract. Not only that, but the Bills have another veteran in David Quessenberry who stepped in for Brown when he was out due to injury. Preseason should give fans and the coaching staff a better understanding as to who could be the better backup.

Although seeing as how the Bills believe in development and experience in their system, Shell could be on the final roster cuts potentially.
