Each year in the NFL right before the start of the season, teams in the league have to bring their team roster limit to no more than 53 players. Some cuts are expected and are seen from a mile away, but then there are moves that teams make that could come as a shock. At the end of the day, the NFL is a business and teams always treat it that way. The Buffalo Bills follow the same philosophy by bringing the best players possible onto the final 53-man roster.

The last surprise cut the Bills have made during the roster cuts after preseason was in 2019, when they cut ties with former running back LeSean McCoy. That was the same year that the team signed Frank Gore and drafted Devin Singletary who would eventually become the Bills’ starting back until he left in free agency this past offseason.

Before you know it, Brandon Beane, Sean McDermott and the rest of the coaching staff will be meeting to see which players will see the door before preseason ends. There are three players that the Bills could surprisingly cut, based off of their position and what they bring to the team as of right now.
