Doesn't block the Buffalo Bills from drafting a wide receiver early
The final reason that fans should love the signing of Curtis Samuel is that it doesn't really change the plans for the Buffalo Bills heading into the NFL Draft. This year's class is really talented at wide receiver and it wouldn't be surprising if the Buffalo Bills select a player at the position early in the NFL Draft.
Curtis Samuel certainly can be a number two wide receiver but he is a smaller wide receiver that will likely be in the slot and work the middle of the field. The Buffalo Bills can then look to add a bigger wide receiver to play outside and be more of that replacement for Gabe Davis.
However, the addition of Curtis Samuel also means that they don't necessarily have to reach either. The Bills only have two picks in the first three rounds so it will be very important to get these picks right and add players who can contribute right away. It wouldn't be ideal to have a group of Stefon Diggs, Curtis Samuel and Khalil Shakir as the Top 3 wide receivers but is a group that can get the job done if needed.
