The Buffalo Bills' defense is still very competitive

The defense is a side that Bills fans are not happy with right now, as they just let up 24 points after halftime on Sunday, but there's no denying that the Bills defense is still top 10 in the league. Even with the injuries that occurred on the defense, McDermot has helped keep this defense competitive as they're still making good offenses struggle to move the ball.

The only criticism with this defense is that they can't stop offenses when it matters most, which has been McDermott's criticism ever since 13 seconds occurred. That's something that McDermott will need to fix soon if he wants to stay in Buffalo in 2024, as he's made lots of game-managing mistakes and questionable defensive calls during crunch time.

Overall, there's still lots of hope that the Bills can start a winning streak and sneak into a wild-card spot. There's still a chance that the Bills could even take the division as the Dolphins have two top-tier teams left on their schedule, the Cowboys and the Ravens. If the Dolphins lose both of those games and the Bills win out, both teams would face each other in week 18, where winning the division would be at stake.
