Will Davis take a hometown pay cut? Probably not, but never say never. Although, the receiver market has been skyrocketing for years. We don’t know how much Davis will want, but can the Bills afford it? Josh Allen, Von Miller, Tre'Davious White and Stefon Diggs have big contracts themselves.
It is safe to say that these four players provide more of an impact than Davis. Not to mention, teams across the league are finding receivers who you do not need to be a big game that won't be as expensive.
Unless Brandon Beane works some of his magic, the Bills will be tight on money again because of the contracts they have on the books with various players. The more the salary cap keeps going up, the more expensive players will get. I am always for players getting their money, but the Bills may not be able to offer Davis the contract that he wants.
