After what seemed like a forever stalemate between quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, the divorce between the two parties became official when Rodgers was officially traded to the New York Jets in April.

That move arguably made the Jets the winner of the 2023 offseason. How so? The Jets finished last season with the fourth best overall defense but had the 29th ranked offense because of incompetent quarterback play that consisted of a lack of production and injuries during their six game losing streak when they went from 7-3 to finish at 7-10.

With the addition of Rodgers as the Jets’ new quarterback, New York is now in the conversation to make a run for the playoffs. They have not made the playoffs since 2010 and currently hold the longest active streak of not making the playoffs. In addition to Rodgers, the Jets also acquired wide receivers Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb, both of whom have built chemistry with Rodgers. These two receiving additions will be added with Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2022, Garrett Wilson

With the media hyping up the Jets as a featured team to make a run for success, it seems as if the Buffalo Bills are being overlooked. While the AFC East has become arguably the toughest division in all of football, the only team that has proven to really challenge the Bills for the top of the division are the Miami Dolphins. The Jets may have won the offseason, but that does not win you championships.

The Jets are set to host the Bills in Week 1 on Monday night at MetLife where Rodgers will make his debut in a different shade of green for the first time in his career. Then the Bills will host the Jets in Week 11 in Orchard Park, the week before Thanksgiving. In my early record prediction for the Bills, I predicted the Bills to sweep the Jets this season.

Here are three reasons why the Buffalo Bills will sweep the hyped-up Jets in 2023.
