Buffalo Bills should have a running back committee

The Buffalo Bills drafted James Cook in 2022 and have brought in Damien Harris and Latavius Murray this offseason. They also have Nyheim Hines on the roster who was traded to Buffalo last season. Now, if Elliott were to ever be in a Bills uniform by the start of Week 1, one of the other three would have to be let go during the preseason.

With this committee, there is no need to make Elliott the main featured back for the Bills. Elliott has a lot of miles on him and he cannot run like he used to. With Cook and Harris/Murray sharing the carries, Elliott would not need to do the heavy running.

With the direction that the NFL has been going in recent years, having multiple good running backs on a team is better than having one star back. As Cook is still developing, Elliott would be able to take some of the load off and whoever the other backs are would be able to contribute as well to balance out the run game.
