It is officially the first Buffalo Bills versus Miami Dolphins game week of the year. For the past few years, the Bills have been the top dogs in the AFC East, winning the division straight for the past three years. The division has become increasingly more competitive, especially this season, with the Miami Dolphins off to a scorching hot start.
The argument can be made that no team has improved more over the past two years than the Dolphins. Their turnaround started with hiring Kyle Shanahan’s prodigy, Mike McDaniel. Since he took over, he has crafted the perfect offensive system to fit quarterback Tua Tagaviola. Of course, credit is due to the left-handed quarterback as well, as he has improved every year he’s been in the league.
The revamped Dolphins gave the Bills a run for their money last season, splitting the regular season series. The Bills would pull away down the stretch, thanks in large part to their clutch win against the Dolphins in the middle of December. It helps that the Dolphins employ an offensive cast that could compete in the Olympics for track. All-Pro receiver, Tyreek Hill, is one of the most dangerous players in NFL History and transcends the Dolphins offense to deadly.
Coming off a 70-point blowout of the Broncos, the Dolphins are riding high on their undefeated record heading to Buffalo. However, if you want to be the top dog, you have to knock off the Alpha. The Bills are still the reigning Alphas of the East and are not going to lie down while a team tries to knock them off.
