2.) Will we see any defensive tackles not named Ed Oliver on the roster beyond 2023?

As stated before, the Bills are in a sticky situation where they only have Oliver signed past the 2023 season. The one defensive tackle that may have a legitimate chance at being on the roster in 2024 could be DaQuan Jones because of his ability to stop the run and being available on gameday.

Aside from Jones, players like Tim Settle and Jordan Phillips may be on the roster bubble entering training camp. Not only will they be competing with each other, but Poona Ford will also be in the mix to get some playing time.

This training camp regarding the defensive tackles can be viewed as a preview for the future of the Bills in a year or two from now. Phillips is more than likely gone after this upcoming season if it is not before.

Settle is up in the air because he still has plenty of football in front of him rather than behind him. Poona Ford is an interesting player to keep an eye on because he is a run disruptor who has proven to help stuff the run. Entering this training camp, not only will we get to see how the defensive tackle position plays out for this upcoming season, but also in 2024 and beyond.
