The Bills have put faith in Connor McGovern by moving him to center before the draft. This may still be the case when the season starts but don't sleep on Sedrick Van Pran-Granger to start Week 1 for the Bills in 2024. Van Pran-Granger was the starting center for the back-to-back national champion Georgia Bulldogs (2022, 2023).

Playing against prime SEC college defensive talent and holding his own against the best of the best speaks volumes for his game. He even had to face off against that nasty Georgia defense in practice, let alone the rest of the amazing defensive talent in the SEC.

The two knocks on Van Pran-Granger are that he has only played center in college, and he has shorter arms at 31 and 3/8". Considering the Bills drafted their center of the future in the fifth round, this seems like a home run for Brandon Beane and the rest of the Bills front office.

By also having Van Pran-Granger at center, McGovern can go back to left guard where he played last year, thus trying to have the most continuity for these starting 5 offensive linemen as possible. That helps the unit as a whole, and that also helps out the star quarterback in Josh Allen for these Bills.
