Training camp for the Buffalo Bills is the start of their path to get to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. Up until the start of training camp, the Bills’ offseason was highlighted by the friction that was taking place with wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
After months of ridiculous rumors that Diggs was not going to be a member of the Bills because of how the season ended last season, Diggs is at St. John’s Fisher with the team and ready to make another run with the team. The Bills early on have had competition happening at various positions and have also had flashes from players early on.
Realistically, it is early to try and sell the Bills as a danger to the rest of the NFL, but what makes them interesting is seeing the moves that they made in the offseason after a horrendous end to the season last year. On the offensive side of the ball, they now have a true running back committee that has experience, more valuable depth at wide receiver than before, and a young tight end who could arguably become the second option in this offense and has Travis Kelce-like abilities.
For the defense, they have solidified one defensive tackle for their future in Ed Oliver, re-signed an All-Pro safety in Jordan Poyer, and brought in a productive edge rusher in Leonard Floyd to help fill the absence of Von Miller. Leading up to the training camp, more promise seemed to be shown for the Bills this season.
As the days at training camp have progressed, there have been reports about the high ceiling of young players and the veteran presence of where they picked up where they left off. There have been players that have shined early on, should it be a preview of what to expect? In addition, the chemistry seems to be right where it should be as well.
Here are three things to buy into the early stages of the Bills’ training camp.
