Kaiir Elam

The Buffalo Bills drafted Kaiir Elam in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft and after only two seasons it seems like it is already time to call the former Florida Gators' cornerback as a bust. Elam would start six games as a rookie and had two interceptions and four passes defended but also allowed three touchdowns while in coverage.

Entering this season, Elam was competing with Christian Benford and Dane Jackson to start opposite Tre'Davious White. However, during training camp he would be passed by both Benford and Jackson and would be a healthy scratch for the first four games of the season.

Due to injuries, Elam had a chance to start but in both of those games he looked outmatched and couldn't keep the starting job. He would be placed on injured reserve but once he returned he was a healthy scratch once again on game day.

If the Buffalo Bills bring back Dane Jackson, it is tough to imagine Elam improving enough to move up the depth chart. For a first round pick struggling to even be active on game day, it is safe to call him a bust at this point.
