The Buffalo Bills got some help from the NFL with the announced increase for the 2024 salary cap, an increase of $30 million over the prior year. The Bills are still projected to be over the salary cap but may not have to make as many moves to get under that $255 million.
While it helps the Bills, it also helps every other NFL team and this offseason there will be more money to go around for free agents. According to Spotrac, there are 25 teams that are under the salary cap currently and the league average is over $32 million in available cap.
If the Buffalo Bills want to retain some of the key players from last year's team, it could have just gotten tougher as other teams will be able to offer bigger contracts. These are three players in particular that likely will benefit the most from the new salary cap.
