The vibes for the Buffalo Bills are still pretty high after their Week 15 comeback win over the New England Patriots. Buffalo was down 24-7 going into halftime and they outscored the Patriots 28-7 in the second half to win 35-31. The Bills are now closer to the Patriots in the AFC East and the race for the division is still on.

One of the big headlines going into this game was whether or not Patriots’ wide receiver (and former Bill) Stefon Diggs would once be a game-changer for the Patriots. Back in Week 5 in Orchard Park, the Patriots beat the Bills 23-20, and Diggs had himself a great game in front of the fanbase that used to cheer loudly for him.

Diggs had 10 catches for 146 yards off of 12 targets. The next closest number of targets to Diggs’ 12 was 4 targets to Hunter Henry. It was a clear revenge game. However, it was a completely different outing for Diggs in New England’s second matchup against Buffalo. He would finished with 3 catches for 26 yards off of 4 targets. Former Bills' wide receiver Mack Hollins was more of a contributor than Diggs.

Well, a Patriots analyst spoke about why Diggs struggled and it was a bit of harsh truth that Bills fans can clearly see.

Patriots analyst says quiet part out loud about Stefon Diggs in Week 15 loss to Bills

Greg A. Bedard from Boston Sports Journal was on Patriots on CLN and talked about Diggs’ struggles against the Bills. Specifically, Bedard said “If he gets pressed or guys get physical with him, he’s having a tough time running away from anybody.”

Throughout Diggs’ time in Buffalo, for as dominant as he once was, there were times where he was a non-contributor for the Bills which hurt the Bills’ passing game. Even though New England did put up 31 points, it wasn’t because of their passing attack. They ran all over Buffalo which is what put them up early and kept them in the game until they couldn’t anymore.

Since Diggs’ Week 5 breakout game against his old team, he’s only recorded over 100 yards one time and has only had five or more targets in four games. Bedard stated something that Patriots fans may not want to accept, but Bills fans have a great understanding of it.
