It seems like every offseason, there is some doubter about the Buffalo Bills and in the end, they end up being proven wrong (for the most part). Last offseason, understandably, the Bills were doubted by a lot of people. They were coming off being eliminated by the Kansas City Chiefs for the third time in four seasons, and also lost a lot of veterans due to the salary cap problems.
Heading into the 2024 season, the Bills, on paper, should not have made it all the way to the AFC championship game. They shouldn’t have won the AFC East by Week 13. They shouldn’t have been the No. 2 seed in the AFC. Get the point?
It’s quite simple…having Josh Allen, who rightfully deserved the MVP award, truly showed the NFL just how dangerous the Bills can be no matter who else they have or don’t have. Yes, they lost to the Chiefs once again in the playoffs but they are were very close at punching their ticket to New Orleans.
If 2024 was considered a “rebuilding year” for the Bills because of the players they lost, then consider the Bills the most dangerous team moving forward as long as Allen is in his prime. However, not everyone doesn’t have that same opinion.
NFL analyst doesn't believe Bills have a big Super Bowl window
Bucky Brooks from NFL.com recently published a list of ranking the eight teams who have the biggest current Super Bowl windows. You would think that the Bills would definitely be in the top-three or atleast the top-five. Not on this list though. Brooks doesn’t have the Bills on his list at all.
Instead, Brooks put the Eagles, Lions, Chiefs, Ravens, Packers, Chargers, Commanders, and Texans ahead of the Bills. Seriously?
Obviously we expect to see teams like the Eagles, Chiefs, Ravens, and Lions on this list given the recent success all of these teams have had. Heck, it’s not even surprising to see the Commanders on this list due to the fact that they made it to the NFC championship with a rookie quarterback in Jayden Daniels.
However, putting teams like Texans and Chargers ahead of the Bills is just nonsense. This doesn’t mean that neither team could compete for the Lombardi trophy, but to say that the Bills don’t have one of the biggest Super Bowl window openings with Josh Allen is ridiculous and any reasonable NFL fan would think so as well.
Buffalo was literally in the AFC championship game last month. They put up 29 points on the Chiefs defense and if they had played just a little bit better defense, they might have ended up in New Orleans to take on the Eagles. To not have them listed as having one of the biggest Super Bowl windows is unreal.
