The NFL just got rocked with some huge news involving edge rusher Maxx Crosby. The Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens had agreed to a trade that would send Crosby to Baltimore in exchange for two first round picks in 2026 and 2027. The trade was set to be processed tomorrow at 4PM EST, but that is no longer the case.
The Las Vegas Raiders put out a statement, via Adam Schefter, that the Ravens were backing out of the trade involving Crosby, and that was no further comment about the situation. So, Crosby is not heading to Baltimore and the Ravens keep their two first-round picks.

Dianna Russini then reported that Crosby failed his physical, which explains why the Ravens were the ones to pull away from the deal. Crosby was dealing with a knee injury that required surgery and it turns out that the Ravens did not like the results enough to keep him.
With this shocking move happening, this may have just opened up a potential door for the Buffalo Bills to make a move that seemed impossible at one point.
Bills may have another opportunity to land Maxx Crosby
The Bills, and many other teams, had inquired about Crosby per Albert Breer but the price was too high and that’s why Buffalo was not one of the final remaining teams in a bidding war for Crosby. Now that we know the reason why Crosby won’t be joining the Ravens, his trade value may have just taken a huge hit and that is where Buffalo could potentially pull off their splash to add to their defense.
Now granted, there would be a ton of risk for the Bills to pursue Crosby if the Raiders were still interested in trading him. However, Buffalo would have to decide if they are willing to take on the injury risk with Crosby. It all just depends on what the Bills would have to give up but it certainly wouldn’t be for two first-rounders, right?
If the Bills were to land Crosby at the right price and be comfortable with the risk, then it would be a no-brainer that the Bills try and pull off a big move. Again, I’m not saying that the Bills should just do whatever it takes because now there is a huge reason as to why he isn’t going to the Ravens.Â
This whirlwind of news just shook the NFL and now it will be interesting to see what dominos fall because of it. Who knows, maybe the Bills will somehow get some benefit out of it either directly or indirectly.
