Injuries are unavoidable in the NFL. Whether they are small or massive injuries, no team, players, or fans want to deal with them. Unfortunately, they will always happen. There has been a massive hit in injuries specifically at wide receiver. Players like Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, and Chris Godwin are some of the notable names that have been hit with an injury bug.

The Buffalo Bills are no strangers to injuries occurring on their own team. Their defense the last season and a half have been decimated with injuries. However, they may have just received a big break going into their Week 8 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

Star wide receiver DK Metcalf suffered a knee injury last week in the win against the Atlanta Falcons. With game day being just two days away, we received a massive update from Field Yates that Metcalf is officially doubtful to play against the Bills.

Buffalo Bills find themselves at a massive advantage

While Metcalf is not the entire team for the Seahawks, he does play a huge role in their offense. He leads the Seahawks with 568 yards and 3 touchdowns, serving as the go-to guy for Geno Smith. It looks like Smith will have to rely on guys like Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the passing game.

Even though Buffalo’s pass defense has found its footing this season, they more than likely not having to plan for Metcalf should take a great amount of pressure off of them. Despite the Bills’ secondary doing great this season, Metcalf would have been a massive challenge for them. Not only does he bring a big presence to the field, but he also allows the guys around him to get involved because defenders are so focused on Metcalf.

Now we will be playing the waiting game to see if Metcalf is officially ruled out or if he somehow turns things around in less than 48 hours for the better for Seattle.
