One of the toughest parts about the NFL Draft as a prospect who is looking to get drafted is waiting for that phone call from a team to let you know that they are going to turn in the card with your name on it. Players wait all the time for the call and sometimes it’s longer than anticipated (just ask Shedeur Sanders).

One of the good factors about waiting for a phone call is that if a player waits a little longer than they thought, but end up in a great situation. Obviously, the higher you get drafted the more money you’ll make. However, it makes more sense to wait a little bit to end in a fantastic situation.

The Buffalo Bills have become an organization where prospects should want to go to because of the stability they have, and also the success they have had since drafting Josh Allen.

To end their second day of the NFL Draft, the Bills spent a third round pick, No. 72 overall (that they acquired from the Chicago Bears) on edge rusher Landon Jackson from Arkansas. Jackson is fantastic value for the Bills in the third round as he has 13 sacks the last two seasons and has 24 tackles for loss.

Landon Jackson had unique draft experience where he almost ignored Bills' call

According to Thad Brown, per Jackson, when the Bills called Jackson the phone call came up as a potential spam message. Usually if your phone has a spam number calling, you typically hang up on it or just ignore. Well, it’s a good thing that Jackson’s wife told him to pick up the phone because it was the Bills calling him.

Bills fans should be giving a shoutout to Jackson’s wife for having him pick up the phone because who knows what might have happened if he didn’t. The Bills got themselves a very underrated pass rusher to add to their defense and getting him in the third round backs it an even better setup.

The NFL Draft will conclude today after the last three rounds. Be sure to tune in to see who else the Bills will be calling to bring to Buffalo. Round 4 kicks off at 12PM EST and the Bills have seven picks to use.
