The wait is over, Buffalo fans. After three essential and evaluating preseason contests for the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens, the much-anticipated rematch from last year's AFC Divisional playoff round kicks off Sunday, September 7th at 8:20 PM at Highmark Stadium on Sunday Night Football.
Last season, the Ravens were one Mark Andrews two-point conversion catch away from upsetting the Bills at Highmark Stadium in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs. Now isn't the time for any of the Bills' players to let their guards down to possibly lose the first game of the 2025 season.
Let's take a look at three players destined to put a stop at the Bills getting their first "W" of the season
3 Ravens players that Bills fans need to start worrying about for Week 1
Lamar Jackson- Quarterback
Lamar Jackson's season last year was the best one he's had yet in his career. The generational talent compiled a 66.7 completion percentage, and passed for a whopping 4,172 yards, and 41 touchdowns.
He only threw for four interceptions and ran for 915 yards with four additional touchdowns. The incredible signal-caller was also in the running for the 2025 NFL MVP award, but this time fell short to fellow generational QB Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills.
Look for Jackson and the Ravens to come to Orchard Park to play another exciting game in Week 1.
Derrick Henry- Running Back
After signing a fresh two-year, $30 million extension to remain a Baltimore Raven, Derrick Henry returns to Baltimore looking to build off a dominant season that he assembled last year. The 31-year-old rushed for 1,921 yards on 325 carries with 16 touchdowns in 17 games played last season.
Henry is a physical style of runner with good legs and runs with a lower center of gravity, making him harder to tackle. When he hits the second level, teams better have tall corners to bring him down, or he's gone for six.
Roquan Smith- Linebacker
Smith has said his peace by giving notice to the Buffalo Bills. The flashy linebacker is focused on early-season payback from the Ravens' playoff exit last year.
In an airing on the NFL Network Schedule Release '25 show, Smith did not restrain himself from conveying a message to his Week 1 challenger.

He has a high motor with a ton of energy and is a thumper against the run and pass. He also totaled 154 total tackles along with 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, an interception, and four passes batted down in 16 games.
