After gaining a dominating win over the Baltimore Ravens this past Sunday, the Buffalo Bills will turn their focus towards the Minnesota Vikings for a Week 9 Monday night primetime matchup.

Both teams come in at 6-1, but while the Bills are on a 3-game winning streak, the Vikings suffered their first loss of their season against the Detroit Lions. With the Vikings, their defense has been one of the best under Brian Flores who has been implementing a heavy blitzing defense that can make opposing offenses pay the price.

However, when it comes to Minnesota's offense, that's a different story and a lot of it has to do with QB Kyler Murray, who the Vikings signed this past offseason to be under center which essentially ended JJ McCarthy's time in Minnesota. Meanwhile, while McCarthy has found some spark with the New York Giants, the Vikings' offense ranks as the 4th-worst overall offense.

Now, there is a situation that is worth the Bills monitoring that involves Minnesota's QB1 in Kyler Murray.

Kyler Murray dealing with hamstring tightness ahead of Week 9 vs. Bills

According to ESPN's Kevin Seifert who covers the Vikings, Murray is dealing with hamstring tightness and head coach Kevin O'Connell said that there will be a full evaluation of the injury. O'Connell then confirmed that if Murray is healthy enough, he will be the starter under center, per Seifert.

Murray suffered a concussion in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, and then he ended up missing Week 2 against the Chicago Bears. Since then, he's been under center for the Vikings' offense.

Even though Murray was brought in to be the starter, he hasn't delivered a great season that people thought he would under O'Connell. Heading into this matchup in Week 9, Murray ranks 26th in passing yards (1,022 yards), tied for 27th in passing touchdowns (5), and his QBR is at 44.9 which ranks 26th among quarterbacks.

If he is not able to go on Monday night, that will put Carson Wentz back under center.

Bills must monitor Vikings' QB situation before Week 9 showdown

With this report coming out about Murray, this puts the Bills in a tough situation because now there is no definite matchup for them that they can focus on. All of a sudden, they will have to plan for both Wentz and Murray because right now, who knows who will be under center for the Vikings.

There are different ways to prepare for both of them, so Joe Brady and Jim Leonhard will have to be creative on how they approach practice this week. Maybe we will find out if Murray is good to go sooner than 90 minutes before kickoff when the final inactives are released, but there are no guarantees.
