In just a few short hours, the Buffalo Bills will be taking the field to take on the New York Jets in an AFC East showdown. The Bills were the only team in the division to win last week while the Jets, Dolphins, and Patriots all lost. The Jets will be looking to cause an upset while Buffalo looks to take hold of the AFC East once again.
The Bills will be challenged on the road in a tough atmosphere, but they have the better team led by the better quarterback. In addition, the Bills saw some of their offensive weapons like Keon Coleman, Dalton Kincaid, and even Jackson Hawes make some big plays last week. Now the hope is that they can do the same thing again today.
Multiple Bills could make history in Week 2 vs. Jets
According to the Buffalo Bills PR X account, there are multiple Bills who could make a little bit of history against the Jets today, including Keon Coleman, Josh Allen, and Joey Bosa.
Bosa couldn’t get to Lamar Jackson last week, but he has the chance to sack Justin Fields. If he can bring Fields down, he can move up to No. 99 on the all-time sack list and tie former NFL player Rob Burnett. The Bills brought in Bosa to be the game-wrecker he once was in his career. Let’s see if he can make an impact today.
Josh Allen has two milestones that he can pass in this game. If he can pass for three touchdowns, he will reach 200 career passing yards. In addition, with one scrimmage touchdown, Allen can pass O.J. Simpson for the third-most scrimmage touchdowns in franchise history. Don’t be surprised if Allen is the ultimate reason why the Bills come out with the win today.
When it comes to Keon Coleman, if he can reach 100+ receiving yards, he will join Andre Reed and Stefon Diggs as the only Bills to pass 100+ receiving yards in the first two games of the season. Coleman had his best game as a pro last Sunday with 112 yards and a touchdown. Fans should expect him to be covered well which will be a great test for him to keep growing as a player.
Kickoff from MetLife is at 1PM EST where the Bills and Jets will clash in this AFC East showdown.
