The Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos are getting prepared to face off against each other to kick off the divisional round of the playoffs. It’s Josh Allen vs. Bo Nix. The battle of the two Sean’s in McDermott and Payton. Last year, the Bills destroyed the Broncos by scoring 31 unanswered points in the wild card, beating them 31-7. That was in Buffalo, and this upcoming matchup is in Denver.

Denver might be the 1-seed, but they are not a scary one. Yes, they are the top seed for a reason, but there are many variables that go into them getting the top seed. As for Buffalo, they are the 6-seed because they have been inconsistent. There’s no denying that. They have also been dealing with a ton of injuries since the summer.

The good news is that they will be getting defensive tackle Ed Oliver back in the lineup. Not only did the Bills activate him from Injured Reserve, but Cameron Wolfe from NFL Network reported that Oliver will indeed be on the field with limited reps. Wolfe reported that "Buffalo believes a rusty Ed is better than most."

Bills need Ed Oliver to shine against Broncos (even on limited basis)

Oliver has only played in three games this season. He played against the Ravens, Falcons, and Panthers. After the Week 8 win over the Panthers, it was reported that Oliver suffered a bicep injury that put him on the IR.

With Buffalo making a run in the playoffs, there was a little bit of hope that Oliver would be back in the lineup and that hope is becoming reality today against Denver. While he may not be at a full 100%, Oliver has to make his presence known against a backup center in Denver to create interior pressure.

The final inactives for both teams come out 90 minutes prior to kickoff, but with Wolfe reporting that Oliver will be on limited reps, fans can expect to see #91 lining up in the trenches to put pressure on this Denver offensive line.
