Sometimes, it's better to be lucky than good, and the Buffalo Bills found that out on Sunday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens. Just about everyone on this squad outside of reigning MVP Josh Allen had a subpar night, but none of thise performances mattered after one of the most improbable comebacks you'll ever see.

All hope looked lost when a sublime scramble from Jackson and a Derrick Henry touchdown run put Baltimore up 40-25 in the fourth quarter. Allen went into takeover mode soon thereafter, leading the team to a touchdown that narrowed the gap to just eight points on the night.

On Baltimore's next possession, Henry, who almost never fumbles, coughed it up in Ravens territory. Another Allen scoremade it 40-38 after a failed conversion, and the Bills got the ball back quickly after forcing a quick three-and-out from the Ravens on defense.

Allen wasted no time getting them in field goal range, and a Matt Prater field goal capped off a miraculous 41-40 victory. Even as the year changes, the Ravens' struggles with closing out games against elite AFC opponents and Buffalo's dominance at home continued to shine through.

Bills complete miraculous comeback vs. Ravens late on Sunday Night Football

This game marked the first time in the history of the NFL where the losing team scored 40 or more points and has 235 rushing yards. Once again, Baltimore's untimely turnovers overshadowed a brilliant game from Jackson and led to them falling against their rivals up north.

The fact Allen put together such a magical night against a terrific defense with arguably the best linebacker (Roquan Smith) and safety (Kyle Hamilton) in all of football with a suspect group of wide receivers at his disposal should serve as a sign that he is more than equipped for a second straight MVP season.

If both of these teams continue to play like this, it seems likely that they will once again lock horns in the playoffs as they both try to knock the Kansas City Chiefs off their pedestal.

What became very clear in this game is the fact that Jackson and Allen are the two best quarterbacks in the league at the current moment in time, with the only debate to be had being who should be No. 1 and who should be in second place. That duel for the ages was one of the best regular season games in recent memory, though Buffalo came out on top.
