The NFL trade deadline time period is always an exciting time for fans and teams. That is unless your team is a seller rather than acquiring the talent. We have already seen many trades occur across the league, with the most notable one being the New Orleans Saints trading star cornerback Marshon Lattimore to the Washington Commanders.

The Buffalo Bills have been quiet at the deadline, other than releasing safety Mike Edwards. Their massive trade news took place after Week 6 when they acquired wide receiver Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns. While the Bills stayed out of the news for the most part, one of their former franchise players who was released by the team has been traded to the AFC North.

Cornerback Tre’Davious has been traded to Baltimore Ravens

The news was reported by Adam Schefter, where the Ravens will acquire White from the Los Angeles Rams and a 2027 7th-round pick in exchange for a 2026 7th-round pick.

The Bills released White last offseason due to their salary cap issues, and White had two major season-ending injuries in three seasons. It was bound to be a separation at some point. White ended up signing with the Rams on a prove-it deal to get back to the player he once was.

However, White wasn’t finding his strides with the Rams to the point where both White and the Rams were discussing his future with LA. Now his future involves going to Baltimore to join a top-contending Ravens team that has already beaten down the Bills earlier this season.

The Ravens have one of the league’s worst pass-defense and maybe adding White won’t help them. At the same time, we can’t forget the kind of player that White was while he was in Buffalo. Had it not been for a torn ACL and torn achilles in three seasons, there is a high chance that White would still be wearing a Bills jersey.

The Bills are set to travel to LA to take on the Rams next month, which is where White was going to face his old team for the first time since being released. Now he may have to wait until the playoffs, should the Bills and Ravens see other again in the postseason.
