As the Buffalo Bills prepare to go into the offseason, it’s important to know who could potentially not be with the Bills next season. Every year, we see players head into free agency and test out the market to see who is interested in them. The last few years, the Bills have been tight on the salary cap, with their last big splash coming in 2022 when they signed Von Miller to a three-year, $120 million deal.
Per Over The Cap, the Bills are set to enter free agency with $9.1 million in cap space. It ranks #27 in the league ahead of the Falcons, Dolphins, Seahawks, Browns and Saints. I’m sure that Brandon Beane will do what he always does and finds a way to create more cap space. How he will do it, we just may have to wait.
Who is set to free agency from the Bills?
Buffalo is prepared to potentially lose 16 players to free agency. Nine on the offense, six on the defense, and one on special teams. This free agency shouldn’t be like last year’s where the Bills released a lot of veterans like Tre’Davious White, Mitch Morse, and Jordan Poyer. They are nowhere near the salary cap problem that they were last offseason.
Bills 2025 Pending Free Agents |

OL Alec Anderson |
The likelihood of seeing every single one of these players leave Buffalo is very low. Brandon Beane has a history of bringing back key players who can play key roles for the team. For example, if Alec Anderson, who has a been a great swing tackle for the Bills this season leaves, Bills fans will be very surprised.
Now when you look at players like Amari Cooper and Rasul Douglas, there’s a chance that neither of them come back because they may want to test the market. At this point, Buffalo may not be able to afford them.
Another player that Buffalo should strongly consider bringing back is wideout Mack Hollins. Not only has he been somewhat reliable for Josh Allen, but he is a fantastic locker room guy who has a great personality. Beane and his staff value that a lot.
It’s a new offseason for the Bills and fans will want to pay close attention to see what moves the Bills can pull off.
