This coming Sunday in the NFL features a heavyweight battle between the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens. It was a bit surprising that the NFL decided to put this game at 1PM, but that just means that we will have some great football right from the start.
Both of these teams are at two different points of the season. Buffalo comes into this matchup at 5-1 and off a bye, while the Ravens are in last place in the tough AFC North at 4-3 and have lost back-to-back divisional games. There is a sense of urgency for them, and there is no better way to make a statement than to come into Buffalo and pull off an upset.
The Bills have had a lot of success coming off of their bye week, having won 11 consecutive games so there is pressure for Joe Brady to keep that streak going. However, the Ravens won't make it easy at all considering that the Bills pulled off a comeback win over the Ravens in Week 1 last season so there will be revenge in the air.
Bills fans should be concerned about 4 specific Ravens players that could cause some damage against Buffalo, and lead the Ravens to a potential upset victory (spoiler alert, there is no quarterback!)
4 Ravens who could cause major damage against Bills
RB Derrick Henry
The Bills have one of the best running backs in the league, but so do the Ravens. Derrick Henry has been one of the most dominating running backs in NFL history and he isn't showing any signs of slowing down.
The future Hall of Fame running back is on pace for his 5th consecutive 1,000+ rushing yard season. In Week 1 of last season, Henry rushed for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns and he will be looking to get things going for this offense. If he sets the tone early on, Buffalo's defense is going to be in trouble on the ground.
WR Zay Flowers
It's clear as day that Zay Flowers is the go-to receiver for this offense, whether Lamar Jackson or Tyler Huntley are under center. He has been targeted 53 times (the next closest being TE Mark Andrews at 37), and he has 608 yards (the next closest being WR Rashod Bateman at 266 yards).
Flowers has a very favorable matchup against this Bills secondary that is among the worst in the league. The only unit that is worse than them is the Detroit Lions' secondary. Flowers has an opportunity to make Buffalo's secondary pay a major price.
S Kyle Hamilton
There is no better safety in the game than Kyle Hamilton. He is a fantastic overall player who can lay down hard hits, drop back in coverage quickly, and gain a step on a receiver if needed down the field.
Buffalo's rushing attack is one of the best in the league, and Bills fans should expect to see a lot of Hamilton lined up in the box looking to make a play behind the line of scrimmage.
LB Roquan Smith
You want to talk about a tone setter? Look no further than Roquan Smith who has been one of the best linebackers in the league since being drafted by the Chicago Bears. He's never had less than 100+ total tackles in a season and he's only had one season where he didn't record an interception.
Just like Hamilton, Smith will be looking to set the tone against Buffalo's high-powered offense.
