The potential last game in Highmark Stadium got off to a great start for the Buffalo Bills. After Josh Allen took the first snap to keep his starting streak alive, Mitch Trubisky took over under center and the Bills made a statement to kick off the game.
After running well against the New York Jets, the Bills finished off their first drive with a 17-yard touchdown pass from Trubisky to tight end Dawson Knox.
That touchdown pass to Knox was 27th career touchdown, which now puts him in a tie for the 9th most in franchise history, tying his current teammate Gabe Davis, per the Buffalo Bills’ PR team. Knox finished the first drive with 2 catches for 24 yards.
Dawson Knox opens the game with his 27th career receiving touchdown, tying Gabe Davis for 9th place on the team's all-time list.

Dawson Knox continues to have sneaky good second-half season
For the last couple of games, Knox has quietly been productive for Buffalo even though there is an argument to be made that he is Buffalo’s TE2. He hasn’t been a star whatsoever, but he has found himself getting open and it’s been very surprising that defenses are not picking up on it.
Since the Bills have found themselves a great blocking tight end in Jackson Hawes, that allows Joe Brady to utilize Knox down the field more, which is why he can have the success that he’s had recently.
The Bills will need Knox to show up in the playoffs. Dalton Kincaid has been dealing with a knee injury that goes back to last year, so there is a chance that fans will see a heavy sighting of Knox throughout the playoffs.
Buffalo will soon learn who they will be playing in the first round. With the Texans clinching the 5-seed, the Bills will either be the 6 or 7-seed. If Buffalo wins and the Chargers lose against the Broncos, the Bills will move up one spot in the standings. If the Chargers win, even if the Bills win, then Buffalo will remain the 7-seed.
