Going into this season, the Buffalo Bills are hoping that third-year tight end Dalton Kincaid will become an x-factor for the offense and be a major reason why their offense can become nearly unstoppable. Drafted in the first round in 2023, Kincaid has shown promise that he can be a dangerous weapon, but he has yet to have that “Wow!” moment in front of Bills fans.
Due to a knee injury he was dealing with, which resulted in him missing games, he declined in production. However, he’s back and has had a strong offseason so far. Both coaches and players have noticed the work that Kincaid has put in this offseason and it’s continuing on the first day of training camp.
It's early but Dalton Kincaid setting himself up for big breakout season
Per Alex Brasky, Josh Allen and Kincaid kicked off the first day of training camp connecting on a redzone touchdown which is just another score that this duo has had since early on in the spring. According to Brasky, Allen and Kincaid connected a lot for touchdowns in the spring which is a sign that Kincaid could be due for a breakout season.

This coming season is a big one for the former first-round pick. He will have to prove to the Bills that he is worth picking up the fifth-year option of his rookie deal. Not to mention, there is more pressure on him because of the fact that the Bills traded up for him despite having Dawson Knox under contract.
Kincaid had a high ceiling coming out of Utah two years ago and while we have seen some flashes, he hasn’t been the impactful player that fans were hoping for. This season could determine his long-term future with the Bills. He has the tools to become a Travis Kelce-like player but it’s time to show it this season in a make-or-break year for both him and the Bills.
