The AFC East might be the most lopsided division in the NFL. When you look at the standings, there are only two other divisions that have one team above .500, but the AFC East is being ran away by the Buffalo Bills. No other team in the division has more than three wins, while the Bills are heading into Week 11 with eight wins alone.

Prior to the season starting, there was a lot of chatter about which team within the division would take AFC East away from the Bills. Since 2020, Buffalo has taken control of the division. The last two seasons, they have almost lost control of it to the Miami Dolphins, but the Bills have found a way to come out on top and remain division champions.

With the offseason the Bills had this past year, there were obvious reasons to believe as to why they would take a step back and someone else would take the division. Along with the Dolphins, the New York Jets were mentioned as not only potential division champs, but they were even getting some major hype about making it to the Super Bowl.

On paper, the Jets had a clearly better roster than the Bills before Week 1 and they were getting Aaron Rodgers back under center after he tore his achilles four plays into last season. However, this season has shown us that the Jets will be the Jets and not in a great way. Not only has Buffalo already defeated the Jets once this season, but the Jets have completely fallen apart.

Sitting at 3-7, the Jets have no chance at making any sort of run at the playoffs and their future looks very rough. Who would have thought that firing a head coach (whose speciality was defense that was doing well on that side of the ball), and trading for a talented, yet unnecessary wide receiver would come back to hurt the Jets? A lot of people sure did…

Sports talkshow host Colin Cowherd from “The Herd” talked about the current state of the Jets and how they are more known for looking to be relevant in a big market.

Colin Cowherd compared the NY Jets to the Brooklyn Nets

The Jets have always been a laughing stock of an organization and they are not looking great for the rest of the season. Since firing Robert Saleh, they have won only one game and they are coming off a completely embarrassing loss against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Jets have become nothing more than a big market team that is only known for the disastrous choices they have made, much like the Nets, who for a long time had a lot of well-known players but couldn’t mesh well together. When you watech the Jets play, it’s a bunch of talented players without question but they haven’t played as a real team.

The Bills should be thankful that the Jets keep screwing things up. As long as they keep making big mistakes, Buffalo is going to be controling the AFC East for a long time.
