The main reason why the Buffalo Bills have failed to reach the Super Bowl is because of the Kansas City Chiefs. Four of the last five postseasons have had the same result, the Chiefs sending the Bills home early and advancing the playoffs. Buffalo has no problem beating the Chiefs in the regular season, but the postseason is a different story.

One of the players that has been a contributor in breaking the hearts of Bills fans is Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce. Even though he hasn’t been the same dynamic playmaker he once was, he is still a threat to opposing defenses, especially Buffalo.

The ten-time Pro Bowler failed to reach 1,000+ receiving yards for the second consecutive season, but having seven straight years of putting up those kinds of numbers gives him a little bit of a pass. He is still averaging 136 targets per season, but he hasn’t been the main focus of the Chiefs offense for the last year and a half.

There have been numerous rumors that 2024 may have been Kelce’s last season in the NFL. It looked like he had lost a step and he honestly has nothing else left to prove. He’s on his way to being a first ballot Hall of Famer and he’s a three time Super Bowl champ. You would think that maybe it’s time for him to hang up the cleats…however, that’s not the case at all.

Bills will see Travis Kelce again in 2025 when they take on Chiefs

The Bills are set to host the Chiefs in 2025 and it should be yet again another epic battle. Buffalo will once again see #87 lineup against them. It was first reported by Pat McAfee and now we have our answer, Kelce is back and Buffalo will have to deal with him for another season.

Say what you want about Kelce and the kind of player he is now, he can still make crucial plays for Kansas City. One of his best moments of his career took place against the Bills in the 2022 AFC wildcard round where he caught the game-winning touchdown in overtime that sent the Bills home in the infamous “13 seconds game”.

With Kelce confirming that he is back, the Bills will now have to once again gameplan for him. Defensive coordinator Bobby Babich now has to hope that Kelce doesn’t become a huge impactful player like he once was.
