The NFL combine is underway and the Buffalo Bills should paying close attention to all of the prospects that they could potentially bring to Western New York. Brandon Beane and his staff have a tough job to evaluate and interview all players that could find themselves in Bills blue next fall.

From now until we actually hear that the NFL Draft is officially open live from Green Bay, you can count on endless mock drafts and final predictions. Bills fans won’t have to worry about the start of the draft until the Patriots go on the clock at No. 4. They will then learn the first rookie that the Bills will face in 2025.

As of right now, Buffalo isn’t going to be picking until No. 30 so Bills fans could be waiting awhile. Up until their pick, Bills Mafia will have to watch some of the top talent go off the board before Brandon Beane makes his pick.

Alex Ballentine from Bleacher Report made a list of every NFL team’s dream targets on all three days of the draft. The key word is dream, but it’s also important to keep the picks realistic. For example, the Bills are not going to get Travis Hunter from Colorado. However, that doesn’t mean that the Bills can’t get another top prospect late in the first round (whether they trade up or not).

Bills linked to the wrong Round 1 draft prospect

Ballentine’s list of dream prospects for the Bills include CB Benjamin Morrison (Notre Dame) on the first night, DT Alfred Collins (Texas) on the second day, and then WR Jayden Higgins (Iowa State) on day three. Focusing on Morrison, he is a solid first-round prospect but he isn’t a dream draft target for the Bills. The Bills have been able to find strong cornerbacks in the later rounds in previous years, like Christian Benford.

Instead, the Bills’ day one dream draft prospect should be Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant. First off, Grant can play in multiple schemes on defense and he is a true interior pass-rusher. Not to mention, he can take on the double teams that will allow Ed Oliver to win one-on-one matchups.

It would be more crucial for the Bills to try and get defensive line help early on before focusing on the secondary. There is a chance that the Bills may have to try and trade up to get Grant. With his stock rising, the Bills may have to find a way to move up and trade away some picks in order to acquire Grant and pair him with Oliver on the defensive line.
