There’s no denying it; the Buffalo Bills lost a heartbreaker against the Philadelphia Eagles. After the Eagles went up 13-0, the Bills would not score until the 4th quarter and while they came close to a comeback, they ultimately failed on a two-point conversion that gave Philly the win.
Usually it’s the Bills’ offense that is the toughest unit. In this game against the Eagles, it was Buffalo’s defense that was doing a phenomenal job while the offense couldn’t get anything going no matter what they tried.
One of the factors that went against Buffalo’s offense was the lack of protection upfront. Josh Allen was sacked five times for 51 yards. There was even one sack that Allen took for an 18-yard loss when he should have just thrown it away. However, there were plenty of plays where the offensive line just couldn't keep with Philly's defense.
Latest stat shows other playoff teams major weakness that Bills have been dealing with
According to Carl Jones, the Eagles got all five of their sacks on Josh Allen with just rushing their front four. That is a horrendous look for Buffalo's front five that is supposed to protect the best quarterback in the game.
The Eagles got all 5 of their sacks with a 4-man rush. With the Bills WR situation, it's an uphill battle for their offense if they can't protect. Simple as that.

Again, that 18-yard sack is not the offensive line’s fault. After a certain time, the sack goes onto the quarterback and/or the receivers for not getting open. However, the fact that Buffalo still gave up multiple sacks on just a four-man rush is very concerning going into the playoffs.
Buffalo’s wide receivers have been a huge problem this season and now the Eagles have shown that Buffalo’s offensive line can be attacked with the receivers not getting open immediately.
This is a massive concern for the Bills as they enter the playoffs because now whoever they play, their opponent can gameplan for this kind of setup to put all sorts of pressure on Buffalo.
