We are just over 24 hours from kickoff down in Houston where the Bills and Texans will get Week 12 started on Thursday Night Football. Both teams are coming off wins last week, and both are still fighting to stay alive in the playoff race. The Bills are in a better position at 7-3, but the Texans are a feisty 5-5 team who will look to make magic happen without CJ Stroud under center.
Outside of their 2021 matchup, Houston has had Buffalo’s number surprisingly which should concern Bills fans. Houston has a defense that is arguably the best in the league, and their offense can do just enough. With Buffalo’s run-defense being a major issue this season, the Texans have the chance to control the clock on the ground and give their defense plenty of rest to defend against Josh Allen.
The Bills are looking up in the AFC East to the New England Patriots so if they want any chance at winning their sixth straight division championship, they have to essentially win out and hope that New England trips up a bit. Well, Houston is standing in Buffalo’s way. Can the Bills take care of business, or completely fall apart like we have seen this season?
Predicting Bills vs. Texans final score
Buffalo has been an up-and-down team this year. They’ve only had two games where they truly dominated the game without letting their opponent stay with them. While they put up 44 points last week on the Bucs, they still allowed 32 points. Their defense has been below average this season, due to inconsistency and injuries.
The only way I see this game being a blowout in favor of Buffalo, is if the Bills can focus on the run and make Davis Mills throw the air to win the game. Will they do it? I’m at the point where I think they will continue to struggle at defending the run.
The outcome of this game could easily be relied on Josh Allen and the offense and while I believe that they can get the job done, Houston’s defense is just too good,, especially upfront with Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter.
