Matt Milano has definitely had a brutal last two seasons in Buffalo, but he's turning back the clock at training camp in the best way. Milano has been the glue keeping the Bills' defense together for years, but Buffalo has only gotten nine regular season games from him over the last two campaigns.
in 2023, Milano suffered a fractured leg in Buffalo's Week 5 game, and then in mid-August of 2024, Milano tore his biceps and didn't suit up again until November 30th. Overall, Milano has unfortunately gotten a taste of the injury bug, but he's back healthy for 2025 and could end up being a massive part of the defense's success this year.
And fortunately, he's turning back the clock in training camp.
Matt Milano is turning back the clock at Buffalo Bills' training camp
While it's just a training camp interception, this play also does kind of symbolize how far Milano has come and how much recovery he's had to do just to get back onto the practice field:

Matt Milano was a Pro Bowler and a first-team All-Pro back in 2022. He played in 15 games and racked up three interceptions, one defensive touchdown, 11 passes defended, 99 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and seven QB hits. Not only was he all over the field, but he allowed a stellar 62.6 passer rating in coverage.
That 2022 season also saw him play in 947 snaps, which was the most of his NFL career. You almost have to wonder if Milano flying all over the place and playing more than he ever has contributed to the injuries he's gone through the past two seasons. For Buffalo, they do need a player or two on defense to step up in 2025, as the offense is good enough to win the Super Bowl.
If the Bills get anything close to the 2022 version of Matt Milano in 2025, they're going to be cooking with grease.
