The Buffalo Bills have been rolling through two weeks and are 2-0 on the year. Josh Allen and company are explosive, but when you have a star quarterback like this, you can never have enough playmakers around.
While the Bills have Dalton Kincaid, Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, and D.J. Moore, when he returns from injury, in the fold as their top pass catchers, Buffalo should still keep tabs on Cardinals receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
It's been a disappointing tenure in Arizona, to say the least, and that has opened up some trade rumors. ESPN's Dan Graziano reports that rumors have begun about whether the Cards are open to moving Harrison Jr.
"Execs around the league are wondering whether the Arizona Cardinals could explore trading 2024 No. 4 pick Marvin Harrison Jr. ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline.... They have a new coaching staff and a new offense. Harrison is extension-eligible after this season, and as of now, the Cardinals would have a hard time paying him based on what he's shown in the league so far. It's worth watching out for a potential change-of-scenery deal in this case," Graziano wrote.
With there potentially being discussions about whether they move him or not, Buffalo should certainly see what it would take to acquire him.
Marvin Harrison Jr. trade rumors could be worth watching for Bills
Yes, the Bills are confident in the WRs they have on the roster, but there's no hiding that Harrison Jr. still has a lot of potential even though it hasn't worked out in Arizona.
Through 31 games with the Cardinals, he has logged 104 catches for 1,526 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. Harrison Jr. has had his fair share of problems with drops and consistently being involved in the game plan.
After finishing with one catch for 33 yards in Week 1, Harrison Jr. was held without a catch on one target in Week 2. There are some clips circulating online questioning Harrison Jr.'s effort against Seattle last week.
And when Arizona head coach Mike LaFleur was asked about getting him the ball more, he said, "We also have Trey McBride who is one of the best underneath guys in the world and there’s only about 60-65 plays a game.”
From the outside looking in, it appears Harrison Jr.'s time in Arizona will be coming to an end sooner rather than later. Sometimes a change of scenery is what a player needs, and that may be the case here.
Harrison Jr. is just 24 years old. He was the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft due to his potential. The Ohio State product is listed at 6'3" and 220 pounds. Coming into the league, he was known for his route running, strong hands, and speed that can still threaten teams vertically.
Those things are still there, and being in an environment like Buffalo could help those emerge again. Since he's been inconsistent, the price tag wouldn't be as high either. The Bills could trade for him and allow Harrison Jr. to play in 2026 and 2027 before having to decide if they want to keep him long-term.
You can never have enough playmakers in the NFL, and with the potential of Harrison Jr., it has to be an enticing option for Buffalo to consider, and Brandon Beane should keep a close eye on that situation over the next few weeks.
