The Buffalo Bills have been dealing with injuries all season long, but they are getting somewhat healthier as the playoffs approach. Damar Hamlin’s 21-day practice window has officially opened up per Sal Capaccio that should help the Bills hopefully get some depth back for the playoffs.

For the last two games against the Eagles and Jets, the Bills didn’t have a key member in their secondary that has been extremely valuable down the stretch. Safety Jordan Poyer sustained a hamstring injury as a result from Week 16 against the Cleveland Browns. However, it appears that Poyer might be on the field this Sunday against the Jaguars.

Despite being limited on Wednesday with the hamstring injury, Bills’ beat reporter Joe Buscaglia reported that Poyer “came across optimistic for Sunday vs. the Jaguars.” Per Buscaglia, Poyer said “I feel good. I feel ready to go. I feel ready to play. I’m excited to play.

Bills need Jordan Poyer for huge battle vs. Jaguars

When the Bills brought Poyer back to Buffalo in the summer, it just seemed like the Bills were looking to bring back familiarity that wouldn’t provide any kind of on the field value. That couldn’t be more wrong when it comes to Poyer.

Looking at Cole Bishop in his second season as a pro, having Poyer to learn from and play alongside has really benefited him as the season progressed. Not to mention, Poyer has been great in replacement of Taylor Rapp who had a season-ending injury early on in the season.

Buffalo’s defense is going to get tested big time against this Jacksonville offense that can be the most dynamic group in the league. Poyer brings a ton of playoff experience with Buffalo and it is going to be huge to have that advantage on Sunday.

With Poyer being on the backend of his career, he is looking to be part of the Bills team that can deliver Bills Mafia their first Super Bowl in team history. And it all starts this Sunday down in Jacksonville.
