Bills might not have to look far for next major trade target

This past week couldn't have gone much better for the Buffalo Bills. After beating their division rival, the New York Jets in a primetime matchup on Monday Night Football, the AFC East took center stage for a few days.

The Jets, of course, dealt for wide receiver Davante Adams. But then, the Bills went out and snagged Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns in a move of their own. In Cooper's first game with Buffalo, he caught four of five targets for 66 yards and a touchdown.

Oh, and the Bills won in dominating fashion over the Tennessee Titans. The game didn't start too well, but the Bills went on to score 34 unanswered points, defeating Tennessee by a score of 34-10.

Now sitting at 5-2 on the season and atop the division, the Bills are looking like every bit of a contender. Cooper looks like what could have been the missing piece, offensively, but the Bills might not be done making moves.

General manager Brandon Beane did go on record to say that he and the Bills are all-in on winning a Super Bowl and won't hesitate to make additional moves if he feels the opportunity is right.

That said, the Bills very well could look at adding another notable addition prior to the November 5 trade deadline. With Von Miller still serving his four-game suspension and the Bills looking at being true contenders in the AFC, going after a pass rusher makes sense.

The Bills should call about trading for Giants pass rusher Azeez Ojulari

The Bills have gotten decent production from several players in terms of getting after the quarterback, but adding one more legitimate option in the rotation could be the difference between making a run and coming up short. That's why looking near by, at someone like Azeez Ojulari of the New York Giants, could be the move.

New York is likely headed toward another losing season, as it stands, and Ojulari had been phased out of a starting role prior to Kayvon Thibodeaux going on injured reserve. With Thibodeaux coming back soon enough, Ojulari will be once again relegated to a reserve role.

The 2021 second-round pick doesn't seem to be part of the team's future plans, but he's come on strong as of late and looks like a strong candidate to be traded. In his last two games, Ojulari has 3.0 sacks and a total of 4.0 on the season.

The 24-year-old is in the final year of his contract, too, which. makes this an obvious scenario. He likely wouldn't cost a whole lot (maybe a Day 3 pick) since the Giants don't seem to be in on re-signing him, and Buffalo would get one heck of a half-season rental.

Not to mention, Ojulari wouldn't have to travel too far after being traded. Just a quick drive, and he's gone from a losing organization to a winning locker room in no time.

The Bills don't need to make this move by any means. However, this is the type of trade you make if you're truly all-in on winning a championship. A couple of missing pieces, one on each side of the ball, and these Bills are ready to roll into the postseason.
