The Buffalo Bills are out of the phase of looking for a new head coach and are now not just building up their staff, but also figuring out a plan on what they want to accomplish this offseason. Free agency kicks off next month and the NFL draft is in April, and it will be a big one for Brandon Beane after everything that has happened in January with the Bills.

A big decision that the Bills will have to make is whether or not to try and bring back DE Joey Bosa, who was only on a one-year deal with the Bills. Bosa got off to a great start with the Bills and he only missed one game due to injury. He finished the season with 5 sacks and 5 forced fumbles.

However, his presence down the stretch of the regular season and the playoffs disappeared. He did provide a great amount of pressure against the pass, but the Bills will have to decide whether or not to pay him to come back, or let him walk in free agency.

Unless Buffalo can get Bosa to take a bit of a discount, it’s better for the Bills to move on from him.

Bills' perfect Joey Bosa replacement is in NFL Draft

Tarringo Basile-Vaughan from NFL mocks talked about the best fits for Miami DE Akheem Mesidor for this upcoming draft, and the Bills were listed as one which makes a ton of sense considering that the Bills are going to need to bring in edge rush help.

"Drafting late in the first round, a player like Mesidor could be primed for the Bills given his athleticism and high motor off the edge.  With Joey Bosa and A.J. Epenesa pending free agents, there will be a higher need for the Bills to address their depth at the position and get a player who can play alongside Greg Rousseau." said Basile-Vaughan.

Mesidor is coming off a 12.5 sack season with the Hurricanes and outside of 2023, he hasn’t had a season below 4.5 sacks. However, his huge productive season in Miami may have earned him a spot in the first round.

Depending on how free agency works out for the Bills, Buffalo may be in a position where they have to draft defensive line help (once again).

The Bills drafted Greg Rousseau in the backend of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Miami, and it paid off for them. Drafting Mesidor is easily an option for the Bills if he falls to the late 20s in the first round.
