For the past two seasons, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was in the AFC East yet he only played for one full season in 2024 within the division. For the 2023 season, Rodgers debuted with the New York Jets after being traded to them and with all of the anticipation of him coming to New York, it immediately went down the drain when he tore his achilles four players in the season against the Bills.
Even though the Jets (somehow) beat the Bills that game, the Jets had the ultimate loss coming out of the game. Fast forward a year later, Rodgers was ready to and once again, there was a lot of hype surrounding the Jets with a healthy Rodgers behind center. However, plans didn’t go the way they hoped and now the Jets are starting over with a new regime who didn’t want Rodgers back.
Now, Rodgers is the quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers after signing a one-year deal with them not too long ago. However, Rodgers might be one-and-done with Pittsburgh and this upcoming season might be his last in the NFL. Rodgers was on the Pat McAfee show and noted that this upcoming season could be his final one in the league. “I’m pretty sure this is my last season and that’s why we did the one year deal” said Rodgers on the show.

The 2025 season could be Bills' last chance to embarrass Aaron Rodgers
With this announcement by Rodgers, it sounds like that teams will get one last chance to face off against Rodgers this coming season if they are on Pittsburgh's schedule, which includes the Bills who travel to Pittsburgh in Week 13 for a 4:25PM matchup.
Throughout his career against the Bills, Rodgers has struggled a bit against Buffalo’s defense in his career. We won’t count the Week 1 2023 matchup as Rodgers only played four snaps in that game against Buffalo, but in six full starts, Rodgers has completed only 58% of his throws for 1,347 yards, and 7 touchdowns to 7 interceptions.
As a starter against the Bills (again, not including the Week 1 2023 matchup), Rodgers is 2-4 against the Bills. He was swept by the Bills last season and hasn’t defeated them since 2018 (Josh Allen’s rookie season).
Rodgers has been an unbelievable talent on the field throughout his career so for the Bills to give him some trouble speaks to the preparation the Bills have put together when going up against Rodgers. Now heading into 2025, the Bills might only have one last chance to continue that performance against him when they take on the Steelers.
