When it was announced that the Buffalo Bills were going to promote Joe Brady to head coach, we knew that changes were going to be made amongst the Bills’ coaching staff. One of those changes involved former wide receivers coach Adam Henry, who was the Bills’ WR coach but then left for the same position with the Pittsburgh Steelers, per Cameron Wolfe and Sal Capaccio.
With the Bills’ WR room being weak over the last two seasons, especially this past season, Brady was going to need to make sure that the next WR coach is someone who can bring a serious elevation to this wide receiver room.
Brady has been having a great week of bringing in help on the coaching staff, which includes the hiring of OC Pete Carmichael Jr. and DC Jim Leonhard. The Bills have been bringing in different position coaches as well, especially on the defense. Now, the Bills are reportedly hiring a new WR coach in Drew Terrell, according to Adam Schefter.
Bills hired former Arizona Cardinals Passing Game Coordinator/Wide Receivers coach Drew Terrell as their wide receivers coach.

Bills hire solid WR coach with Drew Terrell
Terrell comes from the Arizona Cardinals as their WR coach/pass game coordinator. Per Sal Capaccio, Terrell has also been with the Commanders, Panthers, Michigan, and Virginia Tech.
Working in Arizona last season, Terrell was part of an Arizona offense that saw TE Trey McBride reach over 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns. Wideout Michael Wilson also reached over 1,000 yards to go with 7 touchdowns. As for Marvin Harrison Jr., he managed to reach over 600 yards but he missed 5 games as well.
The Bills have faced a lot of criticism the last two seasons with their wide receiver room. Brandon Beane has to bring in better WR talent for the Bills. When you have a quarterback like Josh Allen, there has to be atleast one above-average wideout.
Khalil Shakir is a solid slot receiver, but he’s not a No. 1 wideout on the team. Buffalo has to help Terrell by getting in a true No. 1 receiver on this team and then also helping him elevate this group. They should be playing a key component in Buffalo’s success next season.
The staff is starting to really come together for Brady and the Bills. They are creating a lot of anticipation for the season, but the real work in free agency and the draft still has to be done. Beane, you’re up next to deliver for Bills Mafia.
