It's difficult to ignore.

The NFL trade deadline is next Tuesday at 4PM EST and there is no reason why the Buffalo Bills shouldn’t make a move, or even two. Last year, the Bills failed to make a move to improve the wide receiver room and there were a lot of upset fans.

This time around, you could make the argument that pass-defense this year is worse than the wide receiver room was last season. Buffalo has a major weakness and everyone knows it. Now is the time to fix it in some way.

Bills must make a move before trade deadline (and there is one perfect move)

No one would be upset if the Bills were to upgrade their secondary. However, it also wouldn't be a surprise to see them potentially making a move at linebacker, and Cody Williams of FanSided.com has the perfect trade target for the Bills.

Williams wrote that the perfect trade for the Bills is to trade for LB Zack Baun of the Philadelphia Eagles:

"At some point, we need to see the Buffalo Bills and general manager Brandon Beane give Josh Allen more help on the opposite side of the ball. Against the best teams on their schedule, the Bills are set up to need to put a huge number on the scoreboard. They're capable, but the level of difficulty shouldn't be that high. The Eagles' huge downturn could make Zack Baun available, and the versatile linebacker is the all-angles presence that the Bills defense lacks in the middle right now." Williams wrote.

The Eagles' season has completely fallen apart. After getting off to a 2-0 start, the Eagles are now on a six-game losing streak and it would make complete sense for the Eagles to start thinking about next season. With that, general manager Howie Roseman could very well be looking to move some veterans, and Baun would definitely help the Eagles land a pick or two.

Buffalo's linebacker room has had some major growing pains this season under Jim Leonhard. Even though they haven't been as atrocious as the Bills' secondary, they could use any kind of help themselves.

Baun has been one of the best off-ball linebackers the last two seasons for the Eagles (atleast 120+ total tackles in each of the last two seasons) and he would provide an immediate upgrade to the Bills' defense in terms of sideline-to-sideline football, and ability to help this run-defense become even better than they have been this season.

Whether it's Baun, another linebacker, or secondary help, the Bills are in a position where they have to make an upgrade on defense. Let's hope that they can do it before the deadline passes by next Tuesday.
