Now that it’s June 1st, there are a good amount of moves that can be made whether it’s via trade or even roster releases as finances get changed when it comes to contracts. The biggest storyline involved the Buffalo Bills’ division rival, the New England Patriots, as they are expected to trade for A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles. However, that has still yet to happen.
That setup may not be the biggest one anymore as Adam Schefter reported a major blockbuster trade that involved the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams. According to Schefter, the Rams are trading for Browns’ All-Pro edge rusher Myles Garrett. The Browns are set to get a haul back that includes edge rusher Jared Verse, a 2027 1st-round pick, and more draft-pick compensation.

It seemed like for awhile now in recent offseasons, there was always speculation that Garrett could be leaving Cleveland, but now it is official. He heads out west to join a Super Bowl contender while the Browns get a haul back as they prepare for life without having Garrett in the building.
Myles Garrett trade to Rams makes Bills' Week 5 matchup in LA extremely tough
The Bills weren’t going to be playing the Browns this season, so they wouldn’t have had to worry about Garrett. Now, the Bills will face Garrett early on in the season when Buffalo heads to LA for a Week 5 Monday Night Football battle.
The Rams were already going to be a challenge for the Bills. But now that they get Garrett to pair with Braden Fiske, Byron Young, and Kobie Turner, Buffalo’s task to protect Josh Allen just became extremely difficult. While the Bills have a solid offensive line, they do have times where they struggle and now they will have their hands full from start to finish against the Rams.
The NFL didn’t do the Bills any favors early on in their schedule early on. In the first five weeks, they will be heading down to Houston, hosting Detroit on a short week, then having to play the Chargers and Patriots in back-to-back weeks at home, then having to fly out to LA to take on the Rams who just acquired Garrett. That is a brutal stretch going into the Joe Brady era.
