The Buffalo Bills have had their primetime and regular 1PM games so far this season, but now with them being out on the West Coast, kickoff for them will take place at 4:25PM EST. After a thrilling Week 5 primetime win over the Los Angeles Rams, the Bills will take the field against the Las Vegas Raiders and remain on top of the AFC East going into their bye week.

While Bills Mafia will be waiting for the Bills-Raiders game to kick off, one game that they will be able to watch at 1PM is the New York Jets taking on the New England Patriots out in Foxborough. Now, obviously division rivals typically don't cheer for each other, but this week is a little bit different.

Bills fans should be rooting for Jets in their Week 6 game against Patriots

As it stands, the Bills are on top of the AFC East at 4-1. The New England Patriots are right behind them at 3-2, the New York Jets are behind New England at 2-3. and then you have the Miami Dolphins at 0-5, so no one is really worried about them.

The loss that the Bills have this season is against the Patriots, which gives them the tiebreaker over Buffalo should they ever have the same record up until their Week 13 matchup in December.

If the Jets are able to upset the Patriots, the Jets will jump ahead of the Patriots in the division and own the tiebreaker over them. Not to mention, we can all laugh at the fact that the Jets beat the Patriots in Foxborough, it doesn't get more funny than that.

However, if the Patriots do beat the Jets, then the Bills will face the same scenario like they did in Week 5; where if the Patriots win and the Bills lose this week, New England will take control of the division as the Bills go into their bye week. That's exactly what happened last season and New England never looked back.

Bills' hopes of Jets beating the Patriots is slim (but possible)

Since the 2016 season, the Patriots have gone 18-2 against the Jets. In 11 of those wins, the Patriots have beaten the Jets by atleast two scores, per Pro Football Reference. The Jets haven't exactly shown that they can compete with the Patriots.

New England has the 8th ranked offense in total yards (372.4 yards per game), while the Jets rank 26th in that category (284 yards per game). In terms of defense, that's where they are basically even. The Jets rank 4th overall and the Patriots are right behind them at 5th. So, this could easily become a defensive battle, but the Jets' offense hasn't been great this season which gives the Patriots an advantage.

As Bills fans are getting prepared for kickoff out in Las Vegas, they will want to keep an eye on this AFC East battle out in Foxborough. While Buffalo needs to handle business out west, a Jets win over the Patriots gives the Bills some more comfort room going into Week 7.
