With the Buffalo Bills already clinching a playoff spot, the main overall goal for them is to get as healthy as possible before the postseason starts. However, they still have two games left to play and there is still a slim chance that they can somehow capture the AFC East title.
Buffalo is back in Orchard Park this Sunday where they will host Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles. They will be going into this matchup without some key pieces to the defense. Earlier on WGR550, Sean McDermott had ruled out DT Jordan Phillips, S Jordan Poyer, and K Matt Prater, per Katherine Fitzgerald.
The Bills’ Friday injury report also has Buffalo going into this game without defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, who has been dealing with a calf injury since the pre-game warmups back in Week 6.
However, Bills fans should be concerned about the injury status regarding their two top tight ends in Dawson Knox and Dalton Kincaid, both who were ruled questionable going into this Sunday’s game. Both who are dealing with knee injuries.
They were both limited in Friday’s practice which is a positive sign after being listed as a DNP (Did Not Practice) on Wednesday and Thursday (the Bills did not practice on Thursday).
Bills in danger of not having top tight ends for Week 17
It’s one thing to not have one of your top tight ends on the field, but to not have them both is a bit concerning considering how the offense is operated. The good news is that Buffalo still has rookie Jackson Hawes who has been a phenomenal blocking tight end who can be a mid-field catcher for Josh Allen.
However, we know how much Allen likes to utilize Knox and Kincaid in the short-game and if they both are out, it could have a big impact on this game. The hope is that atleast one of them is ready to go, if not both.
