The 2026 NFL schedule will be released this coming Thursday, May 14th, and the Buffalo Bills will soon learn when they will play their opponents. The list of opponents has been known since the end of last season, but knowing when they face off is a different type of excitement.
Buffalo should get plenty of primetime games, especially early on since they are going to be opening up a new stadium with a new head coach in Joe Brady. The 2026 season is the start of something new at One Bills Drive, and fans are hoping that it’s for the best.
Going into last season, Bills fans knew that it was going to be the final season at the original stadium and they opened up the season against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football. It was a rematch of the prior postseason meeting where the Ravens almost came back to beat the Bills in the divisional round but Buffalo held them off with a 27-25 win.
In Week 1 last season, the Bills and Ravens looked lopsided at one point and Buffalo couldn’t seem to stop Baltimore at all in the first three quarters. The Ravens led by 15 points late in the 4th quarter, but costly mistakes that went in Buffalo’s favor ended up costing Baltimore a season-opening win. The Bills won off of a walkoff field goal, beating the Ravens 41-40.

Buffalo and Baltimore are set to face off against each other again in 2026 back in Buffalo, and Chris Broussard from First Things First who is a Ravens fan, expressed that he wants the Ravens back in Buffalo in Week 1 to seek revenge from last season.
Broussard talked about how the Ravens were destroying the Bills up until late in the 4th quarter when everything fell apart for Baltimore.
Who does @Chris_Broussard want his Ravens to face in Week 1?

“We got stuff to make amends for. Bring on the Bills. Because you know what, last year Week 1, they were POUNDING the Bills… They got demons to exercise! Bring on the Bills!” pic.twitter.com/59S5sgglEO
There’s no denying that the Ravens were the better team for most of the game. However, the Ravens didn’t finish strong and that’s what ultimately cost them the game. You can have a great start but if you fall apart in crunch time near the end, there’s a major risk of losing a game quickly. That’s exactly what happened to the Ravens.
People talked about Buffalo’s defense being bad last season, yet the Ravens gave up 41 points and allowed Josh Allen to get over 400 total yards and 4 total touchdowns.
I get it, revenge is something that fans and teams want when a heartbreaker happens. Every year, the Bills seem to always be looking for revenge against the Kansas City Chiefs who up until last season, kept knocking them out of the playoffs.
Now, the Ravens are chasing the Bills and it’s not debatable. Broussard saying he wants the Ravens to go back into Buffalo in Week 1 is quite the bold statement. We will soon see when the next Josh Allen vs. Lamar Jackson chapter will occur in the 2026 season.
