We are just two days away from the Buffalo Bills taking the field on Sunday night to clash with the Baltimore Ravens in an AFC powerhouse battle. The main story of this matchup is obviously the two star quarterbacks; Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, but there are more factors that could help each team win this highly anticipated contest.
The Bills have unfortunately been dealing with a ton of injuries throughout the summer and it could go into the beginning of the season. Two injuries that have popped in recent weeks have involved cornerback Tre’Davious White and kicker Tyler Bass.
White suffered a knee injury as summer started to wind down, but the good news is that he didn’t land on the IR. As for Bass, he has reportedly had “pelvic soreness” throughout the summer. He missed two preseason games, but managed to kick in Buffalo’s final preseason game against Tampa Bay.
However, not too long after that game, the Bills worked out three kickers according to Jordan Schultz. So clearly, something popped up with Bass. Now, the Bills have signed Matt Prater to their practice squad per Adam Schefter this past week.
Sean McDermott provides troubling injury update ahead of Week 1
Sean McDermott appeared on WGR550 in Buffalo and said that both Tre’Davious White and Tyler Bass will not practice on Friday, but it was “too early to rule them out of Sunday’s game” according to Katherine Fitzgerald.

When it comes to White, the Bills are already down Maxwell Hairston, who suffered a knee injury prior to the preseason and is set to miss the first four games at minimum. If White can’t go on Sunday, this secondary is in huge trouble.
As for Bass, his inconsistency the last two seasons have been an issue and the Bills may have to depend on a kicker that they haven’t had time to properly evaluate. They may just have to hope that if Prater is elevated, he can be serviceable.
This game between the Bills and Ravens could easily come down to a field goal kick. The last thing Bills fans want to see is a coming down to the wire moment where Buffalo has the chance to tie or win the game, and a missed field goal happens.
The final injury report ahead of the game will be out 90 minutes prior to kickoff and it will be interesting to see if both Bass and White can go or not.
