The Buffalo Bills got to enjoy the week off after their back-to-back wins out west in Weeks 5 & 6. This was a perfectly timed bye week considering some of their key injuries involving players like DJ Moore and Ed Oliver managed to get an extra week to heal up and get ready for Week 8.
The next time the Bills take the field, they will be going up against the Baltimore Ravens who will always give the Bills problems. The Ravens are part of a tough AFC North team where each team has a record at .500 or better. Every win and loss in that division is crucial at this point, and Baltimore will be looking to get a big win in Buffalo.
Bills' big Week 8 test against Ravens could feature pressure being elevated
When the Ravens come to Buffalo, there is a good chance that Lamar Jackson could be back under center for the first time since Week 4. Jackson has been dealing with an ankle injury that has kept him out since Week 5. While there was a chance that he could have made his return against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7, the Ravens ruled him out.
However, Jackson being ruled inactive was a bit shocking according to CBS Sports' Tracy Wolfson, but Wolfson also said that she was told that Jackson is "confident he will be back next week vs. the Bills".
Def came as a shock to the Ravens that Lamar couldn’t go, but Minter told me while he took majority of reps in practice, they went back and looked he was limited in what he could do. Lamar said if he can’t run, plant or have burst then it’s selfish to be out there. I was told…

Potential Lamar Jackson return would put Bills in tough situation
Before sustaining his ankle injury, Jackson had thrown for 967 yards and 6 touchdowns to just 1 interception. His QBR is still among the elite tier at 81.9, which ranked 2nd coming into Week 7.
Even though Tyler Huntley has been solid filling in for Jackson, the Bills haven't always had the best time against the Ravens with Jackson under center.
Just like Josh Allen, Jackson is a fantastic dual-threat quarterback who can make plays outside of the pocket. He has improved as a passer over time and his dynamic rushing attack is still an elite level. With the way Buffalo's defense has performed against the pass this season, this unit could be in for a world of trouble.
When Buffalo and Baltimore last played each other, the Ravens' offense was completely destroying the Bills' defense. The Ravens were up 40-25 in the 4th quarter and with a lot of luck for Buffalo, the Bills managed to come back and win off of a Matt Prater game-winning field goal as time expired.
The Ravens will clearly be looking for revenge, and they could have their All-Pro quarterback under center just in time for this showdown.
