This year’s defensive line for the Buffalo Bills is revamped, both for the short and long term future. Brandon Beane hit it out of the park by bringing in immediate help, while also bringing in young guys through the draft to develop over time.
The run-defense for Buffalo has been just over average at best the last couple of seasons. The hope is that this season can be the turnaround group that can help the Bills stop the run better than they have recently. At the same time, there will still be growing pains and it won’t be easy whatsoever.
There are three specific offensive line units that the Bills will see this coming season who will make life somewhat difficult for Buffalo’s defensive line and could play a big factor in the Bills suffering a potential heartbreaking loss.
3 best offensive lines Bills' defensive line will face in 2025
New England Patriots
Right in their own division, the New England Patriots are going to be a problem for the Bills at one point. With a lot more talent and stability across the coaching staff and roster, the Patriots are looking like they could contend for the division sooner than later.
They improve their offensive line to protect Drake Maye in free agency and the draft. While they lost David Andrews to retirement, they signed center Garrett Bradbury from the Minnesota Vikings and also brought in Morgan Moses who was with the New York Jets.
During the draft, they selected the first offensive lineman in Will Campbell out of LSU who might be the most pro-ready player in the entire draft. The Patriots’ offensive line is going to be way better than it was last season.
Philadelphia Eagles
I mean, how can you not put the offensive line that helped the Eagles win a Super Bowl on this list? The Eagles have arguably the best offensive line in football (yes, even better than the Lions). Luckily the Bills won’t see Philadelphia until Week 17 when they come to Buffalo. Assuming that the Eagles have most if not all of their starters upfront, the Bills are in for some trouble against them.
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons have one of the sneakier offensive lines in the league. They helped Bijan Robinson establish himself as one of the best backs in 2024 and they aren’t bad in pass protection either. Buffalo and Atlanta will meet up early on Week 6 so the Bills’ defensive line will get some early testing on primetime.
